1924

She died today

But the roses bloomed.

With rings on her fingers

Braids in her hair

Love in her heart, love on her mind.

Some thoughts with her.

Some thoughts from the deep.

From the abyss of her soul to the form of her lips

Oh, how she was ready

I love you from a stuttering mouth

Her empty stomach filled with joy

She was my great and grand, and I was hers

Her silent cries weren’t loud enough for us

They weren’t for us to understand

We pushed and pushed

She was ready.

She knew her time was near .

She died today

But  she will live tomorrow

Some thoughts went with her

Some thoughts from the deep.
